About AnatoMark
AnatoMark is a web-based Augmented Reality platform designed to make anatomy education more interactive, visual, and accessible. Point a phone camera at a printed marker and an interactive 3D structure appears instantly — no app install required.
This project is developed as a final year Human Anatomy project.
Aim of the project
To design and build AnatoMark, a web-based augmented reality platform that lets students study skeletal anatomy as interactive 3D models on their own phones, using only a browser and a printed marker.
Objectives
- To present bones of the skeletal system as accurate 3D models that appear on a printed marker.
- To help students understand the shape and spatial relationships of bones by letting them rotate, zoom and label each structure.
- To remove barriers to access: no app to install, one marker for every structure, and a design that works on low-cost phones and ordinary mobile data.
- To provide a clear library of structures with short descriptions, so that AR supports revision as well as exploration.
- To build the platform so that other body systems can be added later.
What you can do
Rotate and zoom in 3D
Turn a bone with one finger and pinch to look closer.
Tap to see the name
Tap a bone to read its name and description.
No app to install
Runs in your phone's browser, nothing to download.
One marker for everything
Print once and use it for every structure.
Why AR for Anatomy
Anatomy is best understood when seen in 3D. AR brings static diagrams to life, helping students explore structures from any angle.
It improves spatial understanding, enhances memory retention, and makes learning more engaging and accessible for all.
